Stainless Steel — The Right Material for Chemical Service

Every NAPCO stainless steel pump uses a stainless housing and stainless shaft, providing a fully corrosion-resistant fluid path from inlet to outlet. This construction handles the chemical environments that would quickly degrade carbon steel or ductile iron alternatives.

For general chemical transfer and moderately corrosive fluids, the standard nitrile rubber gears (rated to 240°F) provide excellent performance and wear life. For exposure to aromatic solvents, fuels, strong acids, or elevated temperatures, Viton gears extend chemical compatibility and temperature range significantly.
